# Aider v0.49.0: read-only file context, /clipboard, commit-attribution flag split

> Adds read-only chat context via `/read` and `--read` (including files outside the git repo), and replaces `/add-clipboard-image` with a broader `/clipboard` command that also pastes text. The `--attribute-commit-message` flag is split into two separate flags, so existing invocations using the old name need updating.

## What changed

- Scripted aider messages can contain in-chat `/` commands
- `/web` now shows the scraped markdown; `/tokens` shows the active model
- Improved retries on API errors; worked around a litellm bug dropping OpenRouter app headers when using `extra_headers`
- Repo map performance improvements and better progress indication
- Removed the 16k token limit on commit diffs in favour of per-model limits
- Session cost stays accurate when using `/ask` and `/help`
- Docker image suggests the correct update command
