# Aider v0.52.0: aider offers to run shell commands

> Aider can now propose shell commands to run — launching a browser, installing dependencies, running migrations, tests, or the program itself. The default OpenAI model also moves to `gpt-4o-2024-08-06`. If you run aider in an untrusted or automated context, the new command-execution behaviour is worth reviewing.
