# Aider v0.53.0: prompt cache keepalive pings

> Adds `--cache-keepalive-pings`, which pings the API every 5 minutes to stop a prompt cache from expiring — a cost/latency knob for long sessions. Also adds bulk accept/reject for chained confirmations and various prompting improvements.

## What changed

- `--cache-keepalive-pings` pings the API every 5 min to keep the prompt cache warm
- Bulk accept/reject for a run of add-url and run-shell confirmations
- Better matching of filenames in search/replace blocks against files in the chat
- Stronger prompting: Sonnet edits in code chat mode, full file paths, shell commands
- Weak model now sends `extra_headers`, enabling Anthropic beta features
- New `--install-main-branch` installs the latest dev build
- Clearer errors when adding a non-git subdirectory; clearer warnings when model env vars are unset
- `--verbose` shows model metadata; fix for Windows filenames containing `\_`
