# Aider v0.59.0: --yes renamed to --yes-always, config YAML list syntax changed

> Renames `--yes` to `--yes-always` with a matching `AIDER_YES_ALWAYS` env var and `yes-always:` YAML key, and switches the config file to standard YAML list syntax. Existing YAML and .env files must be updated; the command-line abbreviation `--yes` still works.

## What changed

- `--yes` renamed to `--yes-always`; env var is now `AIDER_YES_ALWAYS` and the YAML key is `yes-always:`. Existing YAML and `.env` files need updating. `--yes` still works as a command-line abbreviation
- Config file now uses standard YAML list syntax (` - entry`, one per line)
- `/read-only` gains shell-style filesystem autocomplete, still autocompletes repo file paths like `/add`, and supports globs such as `src/**/*.py`
- `--editor-model` is sanity-checked at launch like the main and weak models
- New `--skip-sanity-check-repo` to speed up launch in large repos
- Repo-map is now deterministic, with improved caching
- `/settings` includes the launch announcement lines
- Improved commit message prompt; bugfix for Control-C in architect mode
