# Cline CLI v3.0.53: Fable 5 on Vertex, compaction fixed for reasoning models

> Adds `claude-fable-5` to the Vertex model catalog and passes custom Vertex model IDs through unchanged so Claude-style IDs route to the Anthropic-on-Vertex path. Also fixes two real failures: the CLI attaching to a stale Hub daemon after an upgrade, and compaction being silently skipped on reasoning models because the summarizer hardcoded a 1024-token output cap. All changes come from SDK v0.0.73.

## What changed


- Added Fable 5 (`claude-fable-5`) to the Vertex model catalog; pricing omitted on purpose because Vertex bills region-dependently, so cost shows as unknown rather than wrong
- Custom Vertex model IDs pass through unchanged, routing Claude-style IDs to the Anthropic-on-Vertex path
- Hub daemons now carry a runtime build fingerprint; an upgraded CLI retires and respawns a daemon still running older code instead of attaching to it
- Summarizer no longer hardcodes a 1024-token output cap — honors your max output tokens setting, defaults to 4096 (lowered when the model reports less), and logs a diagnostic on an empty summary
