# Cline Desktop 0.0.5: performance overhaul, compaction fixes

## What changed


- Animated background locked at 60fps (from ~10fps); composer typing stutter 245 slow keystrokes → 3
- Streaming responses coalesce updates instead of re-rendering the whole chat per token
- Provider catalog fetched once at boot instead of three times
- Native folder picker and command execution no longer freeze the app while the sidecar writes session logs or discovers the editor
- Fix: composer stuck on "Agent is working..." after queued turns finished
- Fix: agentic compaction silently falling back to basic compaction on OpenAI-Compatible providers
- Fix: manual `/compact` never reaching the model when auto-compaction was off
- Onboarding gains a Cline API key path; pending browser sign-in can be cancelled
- Fixed window dragging; MCP server cards consistent across marketplace views with a single uninstall action
