# Oh My Pi v17.2.5: breaking API changes, browser relay, desktop session, LSP sharing

> Oh My Pi v17.2.5 introduces several breaking changes: tool examples now always render in Python call syntax (exampleDialect option removed), normalizeTools accepts a config object, the computer tool replaced coordinate-batch schema with persistent JavaScript runs, and the edit tool replace mode changed from multi-edit to single-edit schema. New capabilities include a Chrome MV3 browser relay extension for driving existing tabs, a scriptable desktop session with accessibility tree and clipboard access, broker-shared language servers (LSP), a cross-platform ps shell builtin, and turn-aware tree navigation shortcuts. Multiple fixes across stream truncation recovery, artifact compaction, Harmony control token escaping, and Codex native image output.

## What changed

### Breaking
- Tool examples render in Python call syntax; `exampleDialect` option removed
- `normalizeTools` accepts `NormalizeToolsOptions` config object instead of positional booleans
- Computer tool: coordinate-batch schema replaced with persistent JavaScript runs; `computer.backend` and model-specific controller switching removed
- Edit tool replace mode: multi-edit batch schema changed to single-edit schema (`{ path, old_string, new_string, replace_all? }`)

### Added
- Chrome MV3 browser relay extension: drives local Chrome tabs via `chrome.debugger`
- Scriptable desktop session: window-targeted capture/input, accessibility trees, clipboard access, streamed screenshots
- Broker-shared language servers (`lsp.shared` setting): multiplex LSP across instances, reducing cold-start times
- Configurable `timeoutMs` for llama.cpp/Ollama/OpenAI-compatible discovery probes
- Cross-platform in-process `ps` shell builtin with custom columns, sorting, process metrics
- `--service-tier` flag to override OpenAI service tier
- Configurable per-request web search timeout via `providers.webSearchTimeoutSeconds`
- Turn-aware tree navigation shortcuts (Alt+Up/Down, Home/End, PageUp/Down)
- `display.hideToolActivity` and Ctrl+Shift+O to toggle tool call visibility

### Changed
- Script-driven computer schema exposed to all models, including those with native Computer Use
- Reduced `omp --help` cold-start latency and memory usage

### Fixed
- Session transcript durability to prevent data loss on process crashes
- Windows: timed-out bash command no longer terminates main omp process
- Headless runs no longer hang or leave background workers alive
- Agent Hub crash on session resume
- `/mcp reauth` environment variable expansion and token validation
- Fuzzy replace-all edits no longer re-match replacement text indefinitely
- `inspect_image` now respects configured thinking effort for vision models
- Compiled binaries no longer drop extensions with complex CommonJS/ESM dependency graphs
- Template argument substitution: recursive placeholder expansion fixed
- Project-scoped session directories: leading-hyphen names and collapsed paths fixed
- Manual `/shake` budget anchoring fixed
- Mnemopi scoped recall: "No relevant memories found" on individual target failures fixed
- `skill://` resolution: custom directories honored when same-named skill exists in default path
- Image paste on Wayland-only Linux fixed
- Prewalk: no longer switches to fast model during read-only investigations
