# opencode 1.17.4: v2 session API endpoints, connector auth, MCP server cwd

> Adds v2 API endpoints for creating and fetching sessions, listing session questions, and resolving the active location, plus connector-based authentication with stored provider credentials. ## What changed

- v2 API endpoints: create and fetch sessions, list session questions, resolve the active location
- Connector-based authentication flows and stored provider credentials
- `cwd` supported for local MCP servers, so they start from a workspace-relative directory
- File reads return raw content with the correct content type for API and SDK clients
- MCP server log notifications surfaced in opencode logs
- Fixed Gemini tool schemas using multi-type fields
- Content-filtered model responses surface as visible errors instead of failing silently
- MCP auth and debug requests no longer drop configured headers; catalog request timeouts now apply when listing prompts, resources, and tools
- Snapshot creation reuses source Git objects, avoiding long re-hashing on large repos
