# opencode 1.18.14: single device-code xAI login, provider retry fixes

> Collapses xAI login into one device-code flow that works headless and remote, and improves provider error handling so transient and mid-stream failures are retried instead of failing the turn. Also fixes remote-workspace path resolution and ACP usage accounting.

## What changed

**Improvements**
- xAI login reduced to a single device-code flow, usable in headless and remote environments

**Fixes**
- Structured mid-stream provider errors preserved so compatible providers can retry failed responses
- More transient provider and network errors retried instead of failing immediately
- Cache writes counted in ACP usage totals
- Remote workspace 5xx response bodies logged in host logs (@jamesmurdza, #40135)
- Host `directory` path no longer sent to remote workspaces, so prompts resolve from the remote project root (@jamesmurdza, #40136)
- Queued ACP session updates awaited before ending a turn
