# Roo Code CLI 0.1.17: caller-supplied session IDs, now UUID-validated

> A new `--create-with-session-id` flag lets callers set their own session UUID when creating a task, useful for correlating CLI runs with external systems. Session IDs are now validated as UUIDs on create, resume, and `start.taskId` in stdin-stream mode, so any non-UUID identifiers already in use will be rejected.
