OpenClaw 2026.6.5: bundled Parallel web search, MCP result normalization, Anthropic thinking recovery

Stable 2026.6.5 release. Parallel ships as a bundled first-class web-search provider, non-text MCP tool-result blocks are normalized before provider conversion (stopping Anthropic 400s that broke follow-up history), and Anthropic extended thinking recovers after restarts instead of ending a turn. Matters most to users on MCP-heavy sessions, Anthropic extended thinking, Matrix, or Google Vertex ADC.

SOURCES1
  • Parallel bundled web-search plugin: API-key discovery, guarded api.parallel.ai/v1/search handling, cache-safe session IDs, onboarding and docs
  • MCP: resource_link, audio, malformed images and future non-text blocks coerced to text before provider conversion, avoiding Anthropic 400s and broken follow-up history
  • Anthropic: stream start deferred until message_start, so prompt-cache expiry and early-signature failures reach the existing retry path; stale compaction thinking signatures stripped before replay; unsigned thinking-only stalls detected
  • QQBot: reasoning/thinking scaffolding stripped before native delivery; new /bot-group-allways on|off slash command toggles whether group messages need an @mention, applied without restart
  • Matrix: voice-message preflight and thread-aware read/reply
  • Google Vertex: ADC auth markers preserved in generated catalogs, restoring static catalog and runtime model resolution
  • Model resolution: fail closed for unknown model auth, single-provider primary re-probed after cooldown, no auth resolution while listing models
  • ClawHub skills installable from GitHub repos at a pinned commit, with install-policy checks retained
  • sessions_send honors an explicit sessionKey over stale label metadata; denied session-id sends stop echoing the canonical key
  • Upgrades/restarts: cron JSON stores migrate before runtime, service env placeholders stop masking secrets, macOS avoids direct-Gateway reconnect churn
  • Memory: QMD search rerank toggle; adapter status uses resolved default model identity
