OpenClaw 2026.7.1-beta.6: GPT-5.6 default, new providers, crash-loop recovery
Sixth beta of OpenClaw 2026.7.1. Adds Featherless, Claude Sonnet 5, Mythos 5, Meta Muse Spark 1.1 and ClawRouter, makes GPT-5.6 the default for new setups, reworks the Control UI around sessions, and stops Gateways from restart-flapping after repeated unclean boots. Slack operators must now opt in to lifecycle reaction updates.

- Providers/models: Featherless, Claude Sonnet 5, Mythos 5, Meta Muse Spark 1.1 (
@openclaw/meta-provider, Responses API with streaming, tool calls, encrypted reasoning replay), ClawRouter; GPT-5.6 is the new-setup default with/think ultrafor Sol and Terra,maxfor Luna; Z.AImaxhonored; model availability refreshes after OAuth renewal - Control UI: sessions-first layout, searchable sidebar, compact context ring, reasoning-effort slider, customizable pinned nav, GitHub issue/PR hover previews, Gateway host status (OS, uptime, CPU, memory, disk), per-message token/context details moved onto the timestamp; provider usage quota row removed from the expanded sidebar
- Native macOS session browser with model/thinking pickers, slash commands, transcript export, context usage
- Onboarding: Crestodian runs a real agent loop across CLI, web install and macOS app, with model-judged approvals bound to exact operations, masked credential prompts, deterministic fallback when no model is available
- Mobile: bounded per-gateway offline session/transcript caches on iOS and Android (sending stays disabled offline), Apple Watch voice turns, iOS speaks replies via Gateway TTS with on-device fallback; Android chat agent selector and fenced-code syntax highlighting
- Sessions: generated titles via utility-model routing, Gateway-backed groups, unread state, rename/fork/archive/delete across web, iOS, Android
- Telegram/Codex: pair Codex via private
/login,/steerand/tellon active runs, message preservation when transcript acknowledgement is missing, recovery from formatting and flood-wait failures - Startup: container migrations run before Gateway readiness; control-plane-safe mode after repeated unclean boots;
EX_CONFIGexit on fatal config errors so systemd/launchd stop restarting - Behavior change: Slack lifecycle reaction updates now require
messages.statusReactions.enabled: true; native assistant thread status and rotating loading messages are the default - New operator-scoped
tts.speakRPC; disabled-by-default Logbook plugin turning paired-node screen snapshots into a private timeline; cron jobs can pick an agent-turn model - Source notes are truncated mid-entry, so this list is partial
