Pi v0.79.0: project trust for project-local inputs, extension-controlled trust, cache-hit footer
Pi 0.79.0 introduces a project-trust mechanism that asks before loading project-local settings, resources, instructions and packages, lets global/CLI extensions decide or defer the trust decision, and adds prompt cache-hit visibility to the status footer. Non-interactive modes get --approve / --no-approve controls.

New capabilities
- Project trust: Pi asks before loading project-local settings, resources, instructions, and packages, with saved decisions and
--approve/--no-approvecontrols for non-interactive modes. (#5332) - New
project_trustextension event lets global and CLI extensions decide, remember, or defer project trust before project-local resources load. - Interactive footer now shows the latest prompt cache hit rate (
CH). - Public SDK now exports RPC extension UI request/response types and package asset path helpers. (#5455, #5415)
Fixed (selected)
- Removed stale
./hookspackage subpath pointing at non-existent build output. /reloadnow persists project trust when an implicitly trusted session creates a project.pidirectory.- Shift+Enter handling fixed via response-driven Kitty keyboard protocol fallback. (#5188)
- OpenRouter routing preferences work on OpenAI-compatible custom providers with indirect base URLs. (#5347)
