Pi v0.82.1: Claude Opus 5 support, Anthropic bearer auth, faster model catalogs
Claude Opus 5 is now available on Pi through Anthropic and Amazon Bedrock with adaptive thinking (including xhigh), inference profiles, and prompt caching. New ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN environment variable provides bearer authentication for Anthropic-compatible gateways. pi.dev model catalogs now use If-None-Match revalidation, returning 304 on unchanged catalogs instead of a full download. The outputPad setting is exposed to custom message renderers. Several bug fixes for compaction, branch summaries, unavailable scoped models, and startup context file discovery.

ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKENbearer authentication for Anthropic-compatible gateways - Radius OAuth device authorization, token exchange, and refresh requests use the configured gateway directly
- Model loading errors now append the underlying cause
- Fixed compaction and branch summaries for providers whose authentication resolves entirely to request headers
- Fixed unavailable scoped models being hidden from
/models - Fixed startup context file discovery skipping directories that match context file names (e.g.
AGENTS.md) - Fixed llama.cpp extension to persist its model catalog so models stay listed before the first successful refresh
