Cursor 3: inline PR review, parallel plan execution, split PRs

Cursor 3 ships a new PR review experience with Reviews, Commits, and Changes tabs. Plans can now be executed in parallel by identifying independent tasks and running them via async subagents. A built-in quick action splits multitasking changes into logical PRs. Plus configurable Explore subagent models, /multitask in editor, and five bug fixes covering terminal, MCP auth, and cloud agent reliability.

SOURCES1
  • PR review: New inline experience in Cursor 3 with Reviews (threads/comments), Commits (commit history), Changes (file tree + picker) tabs, reviewer status, and quick action pills
  • Build in parallel from plans: "Build in Parallel" button identifies independent tasks and runs them simultaneously via async subagents, maintaining dependent step ordering
  • Split changes into PRs: Quick action uses chat context to identify logical slices, creates backup snapshot, proposes split plan for approval
  • Pin skills as quick actions: Pin frequently used skills as quick-action pills
  • Improvements: Explore subagent model config (specific model, inherit, or disable), general model name support for subagents (e.g. model: opus), /multitask in editor, improved undo grouping, reduced long-chat jumpiness, predictable MCP connection with stale token cleanup on re-auth
  • Bug fixes: Terminal interaction bugs in agents window, slash menu/input-approval regressions, MCP auth edge cases (401 handling, stale credentials), multi-repo environment selection/cache, cloud agent timing and hydration edge cases
