Roo Code CLI 0.0.53: auto-approve becomes the default, approval flags replaced

The CLI now auto-approves every action — tools, commands, browser, MCP — with no prompt, and followup questions auto-pick the first suggestion after 60 seconds. The old -y/--yes/--dangerously-skip-permissions flags are gone; manual approval now requires the new -a, --require-approval flag, so existing scripts and anyone relying on prompt-by-default must change.

  • Default changed: all actions (tools, commands, browser, MCP) auto-approve without prompting
  • Followup questions auto-select the first suggestion after a 60s timeout
  • -y / --yes / --dangerously-skip-permissions removed, replaced by -a, --require-approval to opt back into manual prompts
  • Fix: repeatedly pressing escape to cancel a running task no longer crashes the CLI
